ANNE GÉRARD and ARTIST: The audacity of a chromatic alliance

In her series "Interiors" ANNE GÉRARD takes a deep look at everyday life. The co-creation with ARTIST brings an artistic dimension to the daily routine and leads to a collection of Art-à-Porter "PURPLE COLOR".

 "Raised to the rank of star shade, the palette of purples dominates the top of the list of chromatic boldness from ARTIST, on the verge of dethroning any other fashion desire!"

In her practice, the artist casually invokes techniques that undermine the precision of her representations. She begins by "doing," then she focuses on "undoing." The idea is to lose the definition of the image, to blur it, to dilute the colors... To "perfect."

This method - unique to her - of decalcomania on a giant format confronts her precise and deliberate gestures as a painter with the accidental marks left behind by the passage of wallpaper glue.

 In the locker room of ARTIST, it's the same, a matter of materials! But here, it's the textiles that create their special effects.

 

 Bright and deep looks to warm up the silhouette with a pop or vintage note in shades of amethyst. In this wardrobe, the mulberry announces autumn 2024 "no more comfort." Dominated by fluid and cozy viscose, the favorite pieces of women ARTIST attract attention. Tops, sweaters, and vests are worn in a sportswear style, why not? The divine dress and enveloping scarf can be worn according to the weather and mood, romantic if we are, sober and simple or offbeat, nothing is easier than staying true to oneself!

Velvet, rich and mysterious, works wonderfully in this theme. The reflections of plum or eggplant intertwine on the perfect shapes of the top or cardigan.

The pants look striking in this impeccably tailored fabric that reflects the intensity of this vibrant, ultra-chic purple.

These unis come in a solid color from head to toe or matched with a figurative print identical to the canvas of ANNE GÉRARD, where the motif returns tirelessly. In the same spirit as the plastic artist, the original work has also been reinterpreted at the studio of Brigitte and François, thus translating other vibrations, a distinctive sign of ARTIST.

 

Here, the bold option of the brand showcases the dynamism of its solid or printed coordinating garments, intriguingly named "PURPLE COLOR". The resonance of ANNE GÉRARD's work amplifies the sophistication of this latest collection with touches of emerald and orange. A beautiful energy in this almost indulgent atmosphere where the violet formed from blue and red, one a cool color and the other warm, stands out as contrasting and magnetic.

From June 14 to 23, 2024, let yourself be tempted by this atmosphere, these shades of peonies, lilac, and blueberry, a range considered to be in motion and therefore stimulating, but above all non-conformist, a bit futuristic… In unison with ARTIST!
