Anne Goujaud inspires the new collection of ARTIST: "TOUS ENSEMBLE".
The painter, engraver, printer returns to propose the image of a light colorful fantasy like a sheet of paper.

In April 2022, ARTIST had hosted her “Wild Herbs.” From October 24 to November 2, 2025, Anne Goujaud breathes life into the collection “All Together” supported by a monotype, both engraving and unique work.

The monotype, in printmaking, is a printing process without engraving that produces a unique print. Each piece exists only in a single exemplary.

Her technique:
“There is a kind of primitive magic in printing. The print is my first artistic expression, more precisely the monotype. I develop an original and personal technique to find an intense and subtle quality of color; I play with transparencies, light, vibrant color, and the layering of applied Japanese papers. It is a work full of fantasy, precise and luminous.
My unique pieces on paper invite us to expand our imagination on a joyful note. The subtle chromatic compositions set the rhythm. I favor the clear line and play with harmonies to achieve the obviousness of a happy escape. Imagination adds to reality with freshness and voluptuousness; it is in this play that something emerges, that the image reveals itself. The elements of nature are present but describe nothing; they hide and exceed an organized or dislocated geometry. The manual processes inherent to printmaking techniques favor slowness, concentration, and the magic of the imprint encourages renewal.

Her fantasy:
“I air, I glue, I combine, I build, I tear, I ink, I print, I engrave, I invent, I reverse, I press, I perforate, I fold, I palm, I carve, I start over, I continue…”
Anne Goujaud has been working with painting and printmaking for about forty years, with relentless passion. Her back-and-forth between techniques describes the same appetite. Her dexterity is matched by ingenuity to quickly and precisely glide from one gesture to another.
Her monotypes:
« … It is a printmaking technique obtained using a zinc or copper plate, on which the motif is painted and not engraved. During the intaglio press run, the ink is retained by the rag paper. For a unique print, several passes are necessary if one wishes to obtain different colors. Over the years, I have improved... By adding very fine Japanese papers that I have previously inked and in which I cut the shapes necessary for the composition of my prints. Then again, in order to fix them, I run them through my press.”

In Dampmart, a garden, at the end: her workshop from where she observes the vegetation around her. Each of her works conveys a colorful message, a feeling of serenity, joy, and optimism, reflecting her creator.

“My goal is to always maintain a sense of wonder about my work. To delve into the subject, find new techniques, and enrich my pieces daily. Engraving is a combinatory art, each entry, each novelty, each discovery renews the genre.
Anne Goujaud regularly sees her work exhibited.
