Between anchoring and inks: the artist Véronique Tiberge
It was in Wonderland that ARTIST met Véronique Tiberge, the winner of the art contest launched by the brand in November 2024.
Chosen by the community of co-producers to inspire a collection of Art-to-Wear, her canvas is part of the upcoming wardrobe presented from May 9 to 18 "In Wonderland".
The title summons all the poetry of painting to radiate the femininity of the clothes that will be unveiled.
In this theme, we first talk about anchoring. To understand, just arrive at the old village of Gometz-le-Châtel. The place where the artist settled leaves one speechless.
At the gateway to the Chevreuse valley, along the Chartres road, we approach the land of wonders. In the alleys, the ancient charm of the neighboring stones with vines and wisterias gives a rustic character to this picturesque escape. Less than 30 kilometers southwest of Paris, the magic of the environment exerts its powers.
It is both her home, her workshop, her gallery. The place where she found her place, her axis. Painter and visual artist, sculptor, her creative universe is multifaceted.
She grew up with and through drawing, painting, ink, writing.

The inexhaustible nature of beauty(ies) never disappoints it. In its approach, plants return because they surround it. The presence of organic elements, primitive patterns feeds the suggested story.
Inks on canvas constitute her main entry into painting. She likes to work with liquid and randomness. Flat, she spreads water and then adds inks into it.
To achieve very colorful yet also very graphic shapes, she starts with the colors of the backgrounds on which she applies her figurative or abstract writing using India ink or acrylic.
Or conversely, it starts with the drawing and then with the brush, she comes to color, always with inks.
Color spots that dance and scroll, unfold, tangle, and unravel.
Photography and modeling have accompanied him for 25 years. Interior decoration and the creation of murals develop and complement this prolific artistic activity.
Stone sculpture entered her art about fifteen years ago. Véronique T. shapes, carves, and models all kinds of stones: marble, alabaster, slate, steatite.
In fact, as the director of a training center, she needed an outlet. At the time, she met a sculptor and started working with him.
Today, she works in an open workshop.
Véronique T. delivers symbolic writing in a sensitive search for expression, balance, and emotion. Without imposing her message as the only interpretation.
Her curiosity is piqued when observing others reveals a detail far from its original meaning. She opens up to the external narrative, which sometimes takes an unexpected turn, a different path when the viewer gives it another meaning.
It happens that she is described an unusual animal or an unexpected sensation from her production. She knows how to welcome the foreign interpretation that intrigues her, inviting her to reflection and introspection.
ARTIST and Véronique Tiberge soak up the same vibrations offered by nature, a favorite theme for these artists brought together by the circumstances of a fortunate contest.
