MEMORY: Artist with a good memory.

Richly crafted, this collection finds its source of inspiration in sensory memory, the softness of winter, and materials that tell a story. That of today speaking of yesterday, that of yesterday if it were written today…

"Mémory" is an ode to the artisans of the shadows, to those designers, those anonymous artists who, more than 200 years ago, created beauty by hand. It is also a declaration of intent: fashion can carry meaning, connection, and history. This memorable presentation draws from the past to better build the present.

In the 19th century, botanical plates displayed an infinity of arabesques of leaves, intertwining stems, and flamboyant flowers, at the heart of this unique and fascinating movement.

Hand-painted, the original textile design dates back to 1817. With the mastery of 21st-century digital printing techniques, ARTIST brings this abundant and ornamental pattern back to life.

Archive dating from 1817 purchased by Brigitte and François during a sale.

The patchwork drawn from this ancient fragment vibrates with intensity. Modernity illuminates the depth of the cassis color. The bursts of turquoise blue ricochet off the shades of precious reds. The subtle touches of bright pink bounce here and there on the harmony of the whole.

The same design reworked by the two creators of ARTIST for the MEMORY collection.

From August 22 to 31, 2025, ARTIST offers a wardrobe bridging two centuries, a collection of Art-à-Porter between comfort and chic, both easy and sought after. The nobility and practicality of velvet, one of the key materials of the “Mémory” theme, brings warmth and character.

All the fancy models pair easily with suede pants in cassis or navy.
To be found in the category of “Permanents” on the online site.

The unusual decor of the shoot piques curiosity. Wearing helmets and rubber boots is a must for the ARTIST team that created all the visuals (photos, videos) at the quarry in the village of Comblanchien.
Near Nuits-Saint-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin, in Côte d’Or-Burgundy, its operation has remained intensive since the 1800s. Its uniqueness lies in its marble bench of about 25 m in height. Comblanchien, a limestone, is notably used in architectural decoration for its marble-like appearance.

A review of this atypical fashion show highlighted by the talent of the brand's official photographer Jean-Luc Petit and the impressive beauty of the unconventional location.

A strong artistic spirit and graphic constructions personalize, model after model, the style and allure of this clothing atmosphere.

  • A blouse designed like a sweatshirt gives the elegance of a shirt.

  • A patchwork dress combines rich materials and freedom of movement.

  • A straight jacket flatters the silhouette, mixing Lyon jacquards, velvet, and touches of lurex.

  • A cardigan combines a printed knit and a solid knit for a creative result.

  • An embroidered sweater with low armholes promises warmth and flexibility all winter.

  • Another stretchy sweater, with a high collar and trumpet sleeves embroidered at the ends, ensures a couture look.

  • A bicolored knit top features detailed embroidery and precious finishes.

  • A second top entirely printed on a dense knit maintains the overall coherence.

  • An arty coat, printed on stretch velvet, resembles a textile painting, with an irresistible pink lining.

  • A fanny pack, in cassis color with a woolly effect, matches the entire collection with its generous format.

The “Mémory” session retraces a lost know-how, that of the illustrators of the 19th century. Philippe Kaenel's work released in 2024 “The Illustrator's Trade (1830-1880)” complements the discussion. Based on often unpublished documents, the author presents three portraits and shows that this profession acts as a revealer of the aesthetic and professional categories on which the fine arts then rested.
