PRINTED AND PLAIN FAUX
The print of the middle part is a direct inspiration from the magnificent canvas by the artist ÉRIC ROUX-FONTAINE. For the top and bottom, we wanted a false dark solid color and as the artist often does, we delicately created and superimposed a dark, slightly transparent layer on an underlayer of small, barely visible patterns.
SOPHISTICATED
A warm, sophisticated dress with elaborate finishes. Made from a knit on a small fleece, this piece made up of two over-embroidered prints is perfect for fall and winter.
GAME AND MIXTURES
We played with the two prints, the one representing the canvas of the artist Éric ROUX FONTAINE and the faux plain, the embroidery on the sleeve and the front, as well as the red details of the buttons and stitching.
VIEW FROM BEHIND
An irregular cutout stitched in red saddle stitch marks the junction between the two prints.
Sleeve details
The bottom of the sleeves is worked. The “false plain” print returns at the bottom of the sleeve with an irregular cutout stitched in red saddle stitch. Finally a row of 6 buttons comes for decoration.
SLEEVE EMBROIDERIES
To further highlight the sleeve, we embroidered canvas details such as flowers and branches onto the print.
BACK NECKLINE
We designed an original neckline at the back with two spread V lines and finished with red piping.
COL
The collar has been designed as a round neck in front and with two small side panels to close the neckline on the sides.
EMBROIDERY
Placed on the two prints, as if to mark the link, a substantial but open embroidery represents, as on the canvas, the foliage of the trees.
DRESS AND FROCK COAT
In order to be able to wear the dress under the frock coat, the lengths have been designed accordingly.
THE CARDIGAN OVER THE DRESS
The cardigan with the exact same print as the dress fits perfectly over it.
